Being the newest member of the Evergreen Group, Boraluwahena Estate comprises of high percentage of new clearings and is still undergone on a developing phase in order to achieve standards set by the Evergreen Group. This facilitates by the well-established tea nursery which is capable of providing good quality nursery plants for the estate purposes while providing good quality tea nursery plants to neighboring tea smallholders for an affordable price.

Boraluwahena Estate also provides employment villagers and similar to all other Evergreen members, Boraluwahena staff is also covered under the group’s staff welfare scheme.
