Motakanda is a small but a distinctive tea plantation operates under the purview of Evergreen Group. Motakanda is a naturally gifted mountainous land in which a beautiful water stream runs down.

This has led the Evergreen management to decide not to exploit the land for tea cultivation unnecessarily but to maximize the natural richness of the land for a more valuable return. Hence, with the support of neighbouring villagers and the local authority of the area, Motakanda was transformed in to the main pure water source of the neighbouring community. Also, the Motakanda is now being converted in to an eco-friendly tea garden.

To date, Motakanda provides employment for villagers, and also they are covered by the group’s general staff welfare scheme.
